Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) honors fathers who support their children’s well-being!
Fathers who set a good example and support the growth and stability of their children help improve their child’s overall well-being. At Sacramento County DCSS, we help parents stay involved in the support and growth of their children. Studies show that having each parent involved in a child’s life improves their success – they are likely to do better in school, have lower dropout and incarceration rates, go on to college, and lead happier and healthier adult lives.
Each family is different and we work to customize our assistance to your needs. For example, you might need help with genetic testing, establishing court orders, modifying child support amounts or fitting child support payments into your budget. If you are the parent paying support, we can help if you have lost your job, your driver’s license or passport has been suspended, or you owe back support payments. If your children live with you, and you could benefit by receiving child support from the other parent, we can help in facilitating the collection of payments. Services are free or very low cost.
We recognize that balancing the needs of your children, relationships and finances can weigh on you and that navigating the complex legal system can be very challenging. DCSS is here to assist parents with the child support system knowing it can be a complicated process. Now, with TurboCourt, filing for child support is easier than ever. TurboCourt is a simple, easy-to-understand web-based interface that guides applicants through the child support application process.
We are here to help you with your child support needs. You do not have to do it alone. Let us be your partner – and your bridge to a world of possibilities.
Thank you for all that you do for your children. Happy Father’s Day!
