In just ten days, On Saturday, November 4th, the Rio Linda Elverta Chamber of Commerce will host the 2024 Honorary Mayor Inaugural Dinner.

Also featured during the event will be the first-ever “Community Champion” award. The Rio Linda Elverta Community Champion Award will go to a person nominated by the community, a local hero, someone who has made a significant impact on our community, and makes this community a better place to live.
Both honors will be awarded at the dinner.
The dinner will take place Saturday, November 4th at 5 pm at the Rio Linda Grange, 1315 G Street in Rio Linda.
Tri-tip beef and chicken are on the menu, and the Junior Grange will be serving tea and lemonade. There will be a raffle during the proceedings, and the Junior Grange will have a tip jar set out to help fund their projects.

The candidates for Honorary Mayor have been busy selling tickets which count as votes, and generating income for the local non-profit that they represent. Tommy Hall has been the Honorary Mayor since 2022.
Voting for Mayor ended on September 30th. This year’s candidates are:
